Our Mission
An aware women a free homeland
The National Organization of Amazonat Libya, founded in 2011 in Benghazi, is a women-led civil society organization dedicated to advancing the rights and roles of women, youth, minorities, and marginalized groups across Libya. Amazonat envisions a future where all Libyans actively participate in society—socially, culturally, scientifically, and institutionally. Through economic empowerment initiatives, Amazonat supports women, youth, and minority communities, helping them build professional skills, achieve financial independence, and develop the resilience needed to overcome social and economic barriers.
For over a decade, Amazonat has been a leading advocate for empowering women, youth, and marginalized groups by providing resources, training, and mentorship to support sustainable livelihoods and greater social autonomy. The organization addresses both individual and systemic challenges, striving for an inclusive society through legal reforms and public policies that recognize the rights and contributions of all. Committed to fostering a balanced and equitable social fabric, Amazonat celebrates the identities and voices of all Libyans, reinforcing their credibility and essential roles in building a resilient and cohesive Libyan society.
